Your child's records assessment is a key to unlock the doors to information for you and the team. It's time for you to learn what you need to know about your child and his or her disability. A records assessment can teach you about the disability and how it affects your child. It can tell you whether or not more information is needed, detail other testing that needs to be completed, and explain the scores of the testing to show your child's strengths and weaknesses.
Then it will answer the question as to whether or not the Individual Education Programs (IEP) past and present have and will support your child. If not, recommend what needs to be added or subtracted to make the IEP more meaningful to your child's education and services.
